On May 1, 1987,  Ernest hung up his shingle on the main street of Port Elgin, making Ackert Insurance Brokers Inc. a reality.  From our beginning in Port Elgin and further expansion to another office location in Chesley (1999)and Paisley (2010), we have enjoyed a high-paced growth over the years, and have become recognized as one of the leading brokerages in the area.  Ernest is retired now, and ownership has evolved into the hands of Jairus, Becky, and Linda.  Our reputation for professionalism and excellent customer service hasn't changed, with special attention given to the needs and requirements of our clients both before and after a claim.

Ackert Insurance Brokers Inc. is a professional organization dedicated to providing the best insurance products available to its clients at the most reasonable costs. Our firm is registered as a licensed insurance broker with the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario.  In addition, we are licensed in B.C., Alberta, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.  We act in the capacity of an intermediary between the consumer (the buyer of insurance) and the insurer (insurance company accepting the risk), and as a result earn commissions payable by the insurer for providing this service between the buyer and seller.

We specialize in providing personal and commercial lines of property and casualty insurance. By providing outstanding service and assistance to our customers, we have established a base of customer referrals as a major source of business. Our insurance companies also recognize that we perform for them beyond just selling insurance. This reputation has distinguished our brokerage as a top performer with our clients and companIes.

As our brokerage approaches the future, our success depends upon all members of our team to work together toward achieving the brokerage's business objectives. We have a fantastic team of fifteen very dedicated and caring individuals employed between the Port Elgin, Chesley and Port Elgin offices.
